Students from FIT Media spent much of last month putting their graphic design skills to use. Working for various clients, including Partnership for Positive Outcomes, Blossom Hill Farms, New River Humane Society, and Bowing Oaks Farm, students used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create designs with a mixture of original artwork, photographs, and stock vector images.
Client: Partnership for Positive Outcomes
The client requested a logo redesign and a coversheet design for their information packet. During the process, the organization changed their name and had several change order requests, providing the students with a realistic work environment.
Client: Blossom Hill Farms
The client requested a design for their farm that highlighted its West Virginia roots and focused on its organic maple syrup production but wasn’t limited to only that product.
Client: New River Humane Society
As part of a larger scale website project for the New River Humane Society, the FIT Media team needed to flush out a design package that would help inform decisions on the website. The first step was to design a new logo. Ultimately, the client chose a logo from an outside source, but students benefitted from the experience and got to experience some real-world competition.
Client: Bowing Oaks Farm
The client had a specific idea for what he wanted in this logo, and it was Stormie’s job to bring it to life. She grasped the initial concept with her first design. Her next four renditions were simple tweaks until she received final approval.
